Adult and Family shelter Resident Counselor
Resident Counselor's support the needs of individuals or families who are experiencing homelessness, providing provisions of basic needs, and creating a safe and secure residential living environment. Resident Counselor's Provide non-judgmental compassion and care by listening to client’s concerns and providing non-directive counseling. Resident Counselor's act as a role model, guiding clients and facilitating appropriate behaviors such as daily living skills, self-care, personal interactions, social relationships, constructive time management, following program policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
1. HS Diploma or GED
2. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
3. Must be detail oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities (friendly, courteous, helpful, ability to work as part of a team).
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Bilingual preferred but not required.
Full Time Positions Available:
Friday- Tuesday 12a-8a
Wednesday-Sunday 4p-12a
Wednesday-Sunday 12a – 8a
Sunday – Thursday 4 – 12
On call Positions Available

Pay: $16.50 per hour
