In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Summary:
The selected candidate will join our Digital Engineering team at the Kansas City National Security Campus, focused on realizing the vision of a Digital Transformation. There will be a matrix relationship with our Enterprise Information Management team to maintain governance standards that require enterprise level consistency. The focus will be on data integrations for Product Life Cycle management data artifacts, to coordinate with Enterprise Resource Planning and Manufacturing Execution systems, teaming with ETL Developers within the IT division and subject matter experts in Quality, Integrated Supply Chain and Engineering at the Kansas City National Security Campus. The Digital Engineering team is responsible for working with internal and external business customers to realize Digital Transformation goals, and this position will collaborate with other partners to help document the end to end data flow in support of the Digital Transformation. The efforts will include working with sub teams to identify current systems and the key data identify business requirements and supporting/developing in our ETL, Data Virtualization, and Data Warehouse environments.
Summary of Duties:
- Experience in Canonical Modeling.
- Document Digital Engineering data models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) to facilitate efficient and effective use of data
- Maintain solutions for data modeling and metadata management
- Design, build and manage data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation mapping, data flow diagrams, logical and physical data models, and metadata collection
- Work with both IT, EIM and business partners in developing, managing, and integrating business intelligence reporting, analytics, and data science output into business processes and workflows.
- Translates data strategies into data integration frameworks and reporting to enable business analytics
- Utilize a standard common business vocabulary, outline high level integrated designs to meet requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architectures
- Leads planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in data and infrastructure
- Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems are in line with the long term IT, EIM and Digital Engineering strategies
- Utilize best practices for naming, governing, managing, modeling, cleansing, transforming, moving, storing, and searching all data
- Ensure changes to the data environment are compliant to the architectural standards
- Lead design and data model reviews providing constructive feedback to Application Developers
