In this role you will join a growing Product Security team and be empowered to shape the organization secure by design and development best practices to build world class cloud native product applications and software. You will lead new M&A activities to integrate systems, software and applications to HON security standards and adoption of an SDLC Product Security best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate the security posture of the products deployed in the cloud or on-prem and develop a roadmap by partnering with leadership and global security to bring acquired products up to the Honeywell standards
- Understand current software development practices and collaboratively integrate security & privacy into every phase of the development lifecycle
- Identify good practices which are better than ours and evangelize them inside HCE Product Security by being their steward
- Evaluate the security tools & practices already adopted and determine the benefits of transitioning to HON Security Standard Tools
- Understand privacy implications to the products and the regions it operates in and work with the privacy architect to ensure compliance
- Work with SOC 2 Compliance Team to evaluate SOC2 certifications and mature the capabilities to ensure continuous compliance
- Closely work with legal teams to perform product security evaluations of partnership and suppliers
- Integrate product and cloud security metrics in HCE Product Security Metrics
- Partner with Director of Cloud Security Architecture to drive the security strategy and provide input into cloud security patterns to develop Zero Trust architectures
- As a member of the CTOs extended leadership team, you will influence the integration of the acquired product
- Understand products and how the customers use those products to ensure that products are built with security by design and secure by default.
- Engage in PI Planning to enable & ensure development teams prioritize security features
- Influence CTO & Product Management to drive down cyber security risk in a measurable way
- Perform threat modeling, review vulnerability assessment and penetration testing results to prioritize security work in development team backlog
- Transition the product after it has met its standalone objectives to other Product Security Leaders line of business
- Lead and coordinate local cross-functional activities to support incident response
- Hire & build great talent by inclusivity, learning and inspiring others to build a world class product security team
- Ability to travel worldwide up to 10-20%
