We are seeking a customer-focused Senior Automation Project Specialist within Life Sciences to successfully support industrial control system projects by applying Experion PKS® product knowledge and implementation methodology while creating configurations, documents and custom programming elements. This position is to be located in Honeywell’s office in Houston, TX; Fort Washington, PA or Duluth, GA. Competitive salary and excellent benefits await the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
• Set direction and lead all technical matters across a wide range of activities in several engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership to a large group (approximately five to ten) of assigned engineers or technicians.
• Ensure required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
• Produce functional design specifications and technical design specifications.
• Review and approve design specifications and technical designs for other engineers on project teams.
• Ensure that all work is executed to appropriate standards (Implementation, Test & Documentation).
• Mentor and support assigned engineers to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work assignments within the time allotted and cost budgets.
• Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Effectively communicate with customers to fully define and agree upon project requirements.
• Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
• Share technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines.
• Report progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.
