Engine Systems and Component Analysis (ESCA) is a Center ofExcellence responsible and accountable for the engineering design, analysis,development, certification and support of structural and mechanical systemscomponents for all Aerospace power system products.
ESCA is responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity ofthe structural parts used on gas turbine engines. These responsibilities include the design,development, testing, and field support of static structure components whichmust meet requirements for life, cost, weight, maintainability, anddurability. The engineer must addressstress, strength, vibration, heat transfer, deflection, fatigue life,containment, material selection, etc. in evaluating parts. Honeywell is hiring an Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer forthe Engine Structures Group at our Clearwater, FL facility to assist with ISCSupport.
Job Duties:
Perform analysis and validation testing of static structuralcomponents for gas turbine engines. Specificcomponents include turbofan and turboshaft engine components such as; enginemounts, fan bypass ducts, front frame, engine cases, shrouds, accessory gearboxand external components. Analyticalresults will be presented in design reviews and with appropriate documentationto meet program deliverables and requirements. Applicant must work effectivelywith design teams, global support and chief engineers. Responsibilities also include workingproductivity initiatives to advance the current state of the art and establishstandardized processes for criteria, guidelines and practices as well as theability to quickly assess and disposition parts from ISC to maintain productionline throughput.
