Summary of Duties:

  • This highly visible role is for multiple Engineering Technician III positions in our Analytical Sciences Laboratories
  • Engineering Technician – Analytical Labs will perform duties supporting Laboratory sample preparations, testing and analysis
  • Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assisting experienced Scientists, Engineers and Technicians with a variety of day-to-day laboratory activities
  • This position follows defined procedures and processes using various advanced testing instrumentation in order to complete tasks
  • Sample preparation and testing is primarily in support of production and new development operations
  • Requires the ability to work independently at a high level, as well as on teams, to complete special projects, perform testing and equipment repairs
  • Improves and refines existing fixtures, devices, methods, process steps or procedures, implementing changes as necessary
  • Possesses a willingness to work either as an independent investigator or as a member of a multidisciplinary cross-functional team, depending on the nature of the situation
  • The ability to generate accurate and precise analytical data, interpret data, prepare formal reports and make formal presentations of results, conclusions and recommendations is required
  • The successful candidate will have a strong customer service focus, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers who have limited knowledge of Analytical Laboratory processes and technologies
  • Some positions will be off-hour shifts after initial training
