Summary:

This individual will support activities in two areas: data analytics and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) applications.For data analytics projects, the selected candidate will:

  • Leverage the KCNSC’s Big Data Platform (Hue, Apache Spark , Zeppelin, etc.)to support the development and deployment of tools aimed at process improvement, defect reduction, and predictive analytics for manufacturing and business applications
  • Support the ingestion, data preparation, curation, and governance of large, multi-faceted data sets supporting analytics models and workflows
  • Contribute to the production of information products, supporting visualization and data accessibility in a customer centric manner

As part of the VR/AR team, they will contribute to:

  • Supporting KCNSC digital transformation activities including smart factory, data visualization, and adaptive training
  • Planning and execution of both VR and AR experiences
  • Leading and influencing research projects focused on improving training, collaboration, and work instructions
  • Working with collaborative team to determine future VR/AR research and production needs
