As Field Quality Engineering Manager you will be integral leaderwithin the Global Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) organization drivingquality strategy, creating vital link between our supply chain and customers. Deliveringcontinuous improvements and instilling supplier accountability through systemicimprovement projects, mistake proofing and advanced product quality planning(APQP).

  • Proactively reviews supplier systems, assess operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop a world class supplier.
  • Is globally responsible for all supplier quality oversite, improvement and sustainment.
  • Drive rapid Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects and protect our customers.
  • Works directly with sites, business, engineering and our customers on strategies to improve product quality and delivery.
  • Identifies and leads the implementation of high impact, game changing continuous improvement projects.

This is highly visible position as FAIs (First ArticleInspections) and Source Inspections are last stop in supply chain beforedelivery to sites. It requires close collaboration with sites, quality,procurement and readiness teams to remove barriers and exceed revenue targets.You will need to use all of your technical and product knowledge, global work experience,effectively communicating with senior management, implementing improvements, abilityto juggle priorities and influencing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for global field quality oversight, improvement and execution to ensure high quality product and uninterrupted supply from our suppliers.
  • Lead team of FQE (Field Quality Engineer) contractors to complete FAI (First Article Inspection), Source Inspections and self-release audits on time to meet needs of production schedule.
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies to systemically improve quality and delivery through entire supply chain.
  • Knowledgeable of Honeywell APQP processes and procedures ensuring completion of supplier APQP requirements and driving Zero Defects into production.
  • Sr leadership & customer communications related to supplier quality initiatives and issues.
  • Ensure supplier compliance to global QA standards while driving rapid problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver high performance.
  • Enhance quality culture through coaching, recognition and technical engagement.
  • Develops and maintains required reporting templates and tools to support project reviews, Management Operating
  • Reviews and broad communications.
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
