As a Sr. Director, Material Supply Operations here atHoneywell, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class material supplyperformance across all of our Industrial Automation SBU’s and over 70production sites globally. Given thecomplexity and high mix of IA’s businesses, developing processes and tools thatproactively identify material supply risks will be critical to oursuccess. Your primary objectives willinclude optimizing our supply chain efficiencies, improving our clear to build(CTB) accuracy, improving our material supply chain’s responsiveness, reducinglead-times, and driving resolution to any material supply issues. You will also have a strong voice inestablishing our commodity sourcing strategies, and will establish positiverelationships with the senior leaders across our most critical supplierpartners. 

You will report directly to our IA ProcurementOperations leader, and you will work out of either our Houston, TX orCharlotte, NC office location.

In this role, you will impact the company's bottom lineby reducing operational expenses and ensuring a constant flow of materials forproduction. Your proactive approach to materials management contributessignificantly to meeting production deadlines, enhancing overall businessresilience, and customer satisfaction. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement material management/escalation processes that will be standardized across Industrial Automation to provide better visibility across our supply chain and identifies potential risks as early as possible
  • 1st line of defense for material escalation for Tier 5 & Above escalations: Owner to drive problem solving and provide transparent and on time update to procurement leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, Join regular meetings to provide update of existing Tier 5 & Above escalations
  • Identify top suppliers with chronical delivery issue, form tiger team and drive needed improvement actions from cross-functional team to systematically solve the delivery issues
  • Drive the regular HON demand forecast VS supplier capacity planning with key suppliers to ensure suppliers have right capacity plan and execution
  • Collaborate with our production and planning teams to improve our Clear to Build processes and material supply accuracy
  • Be the voice of our plants in executing our commodity sourcing strategies and supplier selection
  • Help achieve our operational metrics across the IA businesses
  • Support our inventory and lead-time reduction initiatives
  • Reduce costs through creating a more stable and reliable material supply chain
