Looking for a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service for our locally owned gift and high end clothing and home decor boutique. This role will primarily be responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer service experience for our clients, while supporting the daily operations of the business as needed.The ideal candidate must posses excellent communication skills, be upbeat, and will help customers feel welcome and create lasting connections. You will help identify customer needs, answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. You will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied. A positive attitude and ability to work on a team is a must.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers/develop customer relationships
• Ensure racks are organized, and store is merchandised to standards throughout shift
• Provide accurate information on product, pricing and promotions
• Take custom orders
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
• Maintain working knowledge of all brands and designers in store
• Work with other members of the sales team to provide excellent customer service
• Handle customer email and phone requests
• Other duties assigned by Store Manager

Skills

• Self motivated with the ability to take direction and multi task
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• High school degree

Must possess strong computer skills, be able to help maintain store appearance, i.e. vacuuming, steaming, tagging and restocking as assigned. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with established dress code and image guidelines. Retail experience a plus! Benefits: store discount and a great schedule for retail!
