Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and focused Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough, fillings, and bakery items, and maintaining a clean and organized work space.

We are a small farmers' market based business, sales are conducted Saturday morning at the market and the baking shift is on Friday. Other prep hours are available during the week.

The outdoor market is open April 13 through November 2. Thursdays and Fridays are a must.

Duties:
- Prepare bakery items, operate mixers, and ovens
- Package and label bakery products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery including cleaning equipment and work areas
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

Skills:
- Food preparation: Knowledge of baking techniques, ability to follow recipes accurately, and ability to focus and adjust details to ensure a high quality product
- Math: Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities
- Food service: Understanding of food safety practices and ability to maintain cleanliness in the bakery
- Time management: Efficiently prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand during your shift and lift 40lbs consistently
