Honda is Hiring a Line Support Staff- 1st Shift - TMP-G Near Tallapoosa, GA
Job Purpose
Manage process area by monitoring the processes and responding to abnormalities/non-conformances to meet and/or exceed internal or external customer expectations.
Key Accountabilities
Develop capability of self through training, mentoring, and sharing experiences to facilitate growth.
Actively participate in dept. initiatives such as Monozukuri and loss elimination to engage the team, build moral and promote continuous improvement.
Monitor and communicate prior day/shift results through reviewing shift communication (daily report, visual management board, pre-shift communication, email, etc.) and providing continuous communication in order to direct an effective team and apply PDCA.
Conduct assigned checks & apply appropriate action according to plant/dept. policies and procedures to ensure SEQCDM.
Train associates per process requirements utilizing the operation standards and other specialized training to develop production associates as experts in the process.
Demonstrate basic understanding of process area tools, materials and equipment to appropriately react and prevent outflow/ negative impact to the department by sharing and demonstrating Honda QMS knowledge.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
High School Diploma/ GED
Minimum Experience:
1 year experience in Manufacturing leadership related field.
Other Job-Specific Skills:
Effectively communicate/train associates
Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate (Consensus building skills)
Crisis management (PPA development)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage time and multi-task
Nonconforming procedure - Knowledge of QMS
Basic computer knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team
Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of the SEQCDM guidelines/requirements within area of responsibility
Working Conditions
Will require standing for long durations of time
Able to work in a fast pace production area
Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
Daily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime as required (will vary)
Able to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time as requested
Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
