About this Position:
Cost and Morale Leader is responsible for:
  • Leading FSI Theme creation, tracking and reporting through Plant Leadership.
  • Managing manpower and expense for the department, and lead countermeasure activity on gaps.
  • Performing studies and investigations on Dept & Plant short and long term costs.
  • Correlating with Manpower Control group to ensure department Manpower needs are met and maintained.
  • Leading the Morale and BP Theme Strategy for the Department.
  • Promoting the HIP Program within the department
  • Coordinating Training for the Department
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead FSI Theme Development for the Department. Track the savings of each theme monthly. Clearly communicate themes status at the department Monthly Business Plan and Monthly Cost meetings to plant leadership.
  • Work together with plant manpower controllers to ensure department manpower needs are met. Present manpower status to the plant monthly and communicate differences of Plan vs. Actual as needed.
  • Develop department expense at the start of each Ki and correlate with all teams in the department to ensure yearly expense is correct and captures all planned expenses. Roll-up expense monthly to department and plant leadership. Report on variances monthly and work with each group to create a plan to recover when Expense Budget is not to plan.
  • Lead Cost Studies for the department and work with each team to ensure all costs are captured and accurate.
  • Lead Department Morale. Develop Morale BP theme strategy. Develop department Morale KPI’s. Report monthly Morale KPI’s to Plant and Division Leadership and perform PDCA as needed.
  • Lead the HIP Program for the department. Evaluate, Approve/Disapprove, route, and grade all suggestions for the department. Guide, Train, and promote the HIP program within the Department. Report monthly on the HIP Program to Department, Division, and Plant Leadership.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and report on training for the department
Who we are seeking:
Required Experience:
3-5 years of experience in management of costs
Required Education:
Bachelor’s in accounting, and 4 years’ of equivalent experience.
Other job specific skills:
Advanced Excel skills.
Good Judgement and decision-making capability
Production process understanding and expectations.
Positive attitude and flexible to daily changes
Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills
Team oriented with good leadership skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task.
Self-motivated and self-managed
Additional Position Factors:
Work environment is a mixture of office and manufacturing floor environments.
Ability to perform manufacturing process online as necessary.
Ability to move, bend, lift around 50lbs and walk for an extended period of time.
Ability to travel, including possible international travel as necessary to support activities.
OT as determined by company needs and production support.
