Homewood Suites Rochester/Greece is searching for outgoing, energetic guest service representatives to join our Winning Team!

This is a full or part time position. Evening hours 3pm-11pm. Open availability. Will include weekends, and holidays if needed and on rotation. Flexible Scheduling.

Previous hotel experience is a plus!

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Checks guests in and out of hotel, makes reservations and keeps front office in order.
• Treats all walk-ins, phone calls, conversations and reservations as an opportunity to get a lead, probe for cross-sell business and close the sale.
• Administers hotel guest payment policy.
• Handles hotel phone system and transfers calls.
• Takes messages for guests as well as hotel staff when necessary.
• Takes, modifies and cancels guest reservations noting any special requests.
• Assists in the verification, balancing and revenue maximization of hotel's suite availability.
• Coordinates with other departments to fulfill guests special requests.
• Communicates hotel facilities, amenities and service to guests at check-in and during reservations.
• Answers guest questions regarding local area facilities.
• Responsible for shift cash transactions.
• Responsible for maintaining hotel key security system.
• Administers guest safe deposit boxes.
• Maintains knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.
• Informs housekeeping of vacated rooms as guests checkout.
• Updates room status as housekeeping notifies the desk of changes.
• Reads and communicates through the logbook daily.
• Log, notify, and distributes packages to guests.
• Tracks status of rooms used for tours and status of out of order rooms.
• Notifies housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with rooms or grounds.
• Cleans front desk area, back office area, and maintains the lobby are by rearranging furniture, minor cleaning as needed
• Carries out any reasonable requests by management.
• Responsible for thorough understanding and effective performance of property management system.
• Involves cross training into the housekeeping and laundry areas so that assistance can be given as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
