Homewood Suites Doylestown/Warrington is Hiring a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor Near Warrington, PA

The Homewood Suites Doylestown is seeking candidates for the Front Desk Supervisor (Front Desk Manager) position. The Front Office Manager assists the General Manager to oversee the success of the hotel in each department as deemed necessary by the General Manager. This position will work closely with the front desk to ensure that team members are properly trained, following hotel and brand standards and procedures and making sure the front desk is staffed at all times. The Front Office Manager is on call at all times for Front Desk coverage and should also assist the front desk when needed due to high occupancy and his/her schedule will be adjusted according to the volume of check-ins. Therefore we are only considering fully flexible candidates that are available to adjust their schedules to the hotel needs. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to daily inspection of breakfast, fitness center, business center and a minimum of four rooms per day. The Front Office Manager is responsible for mailing payments out when checks are dropped off to the property as well as setting up the advanced purchase reservation payments on a weekly basis. The Front Office Manager is also responsible for maintaining above average scores on the SALT Survey for the front desk and breakfast areas.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

 Train and maintain front desk staff members.

 Front Desk and Breakfast coverage for call outs and/or assistance during high occupancy.

 Provide 24 hour on-call phone support for the property should any issues arise while management is not at the

hotel.

 Prepare and set-up the evening Manager’s Reception Monday through Wednesday evenings.

 Help Managers with ordering when needed

 Daily inspection of breakfast, fitness center, business center and guest rooms when needed.

 Daily emails and correspondence to all departures to thank them for choosing us and to ensure that everything

about their stay would reward us with scores on their surveys of 9’s and 10’s and asking for feedback if anything would cause them to score us lower.

 Tracking front desk staff member’s performance with collecting accurate information from guests at the time of booking and/or check in.

 Coach and counsel front desk staff members on areas that need improvement.

 Mailing payments when checks are brought to our property.

 Weekly payment posting for the Advance Purchase Reservations.

 Maintaining above average scores on the SALT surveys for areas pertaining to the front desk and breakfast.

 Respond to Guest Assistance files if the General Manager is not available to do so.

 Taking inventory of office and guest supplies to assure that we do not run out of supplies.

 Assist the Director of Sales by loading groups into the computer system properly to assure easy bookings for the

groups.

 Assist the Director of Sales by assuring that house accounts are set up and billed for in-house meetings.

 Assist the Director of Sales by fielding phone calls from groups that are already booked to answer any questions they may have as well as correspond with them the guest listings of who has already made reservations.

 Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

 Must have excellent communication skills.

 Must have valid driver’s license, car insurance and dependable vehicle.

 Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

 Reading and math skills.

 Ability to understand, carry out and deliver instructions.

 Ability to lift over 50 pounds on a regular basis.

 Ability to move and rearrange furniture.

 Must be able to maintain a professional manner under stress.

 Must be able to answer questions concerning the Hotel and the area.

 Punctuality.

 Problem resolution.

 A positive, friendly, courteous attitude toward guests and co-workers is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
