Facilities and Maintenance Technician

Performs Maintenance duties including snow removal (by hand shoveling, and with machine operation assistance), performs routine maintenance services, light janitorial maintenance, including trash removal and general cleanliness,upkeep of interior and exterior of all three property buildings (HMR, WSC, HHDM), and off-site employee housing.

• Assists in all maintenance of building facilities; including but not limited to routine maintenance services, snow removal, light janitorial services, carpentry, plumbing, and other various tasks as assigned.
• Assists in painting and performing minor repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists in solving work problems.
• Maintain and repair portable toilets.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Assists in transportation of small equipment or tools between departments.
• Communicates concerning needs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment to Building Maintenance management.
• Snow removal by hand shoveling and with bob cat machine as required.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration:

• Valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier desirable.
