JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Athletic Instructor shall be responsible for the instructional phase of any athletic or sport-oriented program, enforcing Park District policies regarding programs, conducting a safe and beneficial program, and act in the best interest of the Park District while on duty. The H-F Park District’s mission statement is “to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment”.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
· Conduct a safe and educational program.
· Develop a lesson plan for the program.
· Supervise any athletic assistants employed in the program.
· Keep Recreation Supervisor informed of the progress of the league.
· Be responsible for the general conduct at any facility or park at which the program meets.
· Be responsible for all equipment used in program.
· To be cooperative and develop a good relationship with the public.
· To enforce the rules and regulations as set forth by the Park District Board of Commissioners pertaining to all recreation programs.
· Solicit comments, suggestions and recommendations from the participants in the program and relay them to the Recreation Supervisor.
· Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
· Other related job duties as assigned.

· Ability to instruct, organize, understand youth and what they can and cannot do.
· Fill out forms.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Expertise and knowledge in Basketball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, and Dodgeball
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
High school graduate and at least 18 years of
