Opening in 2024, Homewood Brewing Company (HBC) is a brand-new brewpub being built from the ground up in Homewood, IL. Our purpose is to serve our customers, colleagues, and communities by crafting quality products and experiences that deliver joy and make everyone’s day just a little bit better.
As we endeavor to become a staple of the Village of Homewood, and a flagship brewery in the Chicagoland area, our brand-new 18,000 square foot brewpub will cater to families, neighbors, and wanderers alike.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team. Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for craft beer and gourmet pub fare, along with a dedication to creating an inviting atmosphere for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
· Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
· Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and high-quality customer service.
· Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all areas including service, kitchen, and administrative operations.
· Manage daily operations, ensuring the brewpub runs smoothly and efficiently.
· Engage regularly with customers, enhancing their experience and fostering repeat business.
· Oversee financial management, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
· Implement effective cost-control measures and pricing strategies to boost profitability.
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the restaurant industry (3-5 years minimum).
· Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, both front-of-house and back-of-house.
· Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
· Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the restaurant industry.
