Each client is unique and job responsibilities vary according to the needs of the client. Common responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene like bathing/showering, toileting, changing, and oral hygiene
  • Transferring clients with or without mechanical lifts
  • Homemaking duties: meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, etc.
  • Companionship
  • Transportation
  • Monitoring & documentation
  • Other non-medical home care duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

  • Ability and willingness to safely assist elders and clients of all ages with their care needs including assisting with hands-on care
  • Dependable - able to commit to your scheduled shifts and reliably get to and from your clients' homes
  • Compassionate, flexible, and able to work with many different personalities in a positive manner
  • Openness to feedback and learning new approaches and techniques
  • Professional and trustworthy
  • Able to work independently in a client's home

Additional Qualifications

  • Age 18 years or older (age 21 or older if providing transportation)
  • Able to legally work in the United States
  • Satisfactory results of a criminal background check and drug test
  • Verifiable references
  • Reliable transportation and backup transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
