Job Summary
Come join our team! At Homewatch CareGivers of Malden, we are looking for compassionate caregivers to provide quality in-home care. We have an immediate opening for experienced caregivers, PCA, HHA, CNA in East Boston, MA. This is for caregiving in a private home setting. Open shifts available are 9am-2pm and 4pm to 8pm. There are opportunities to pick up more hours if desired but applicants with availability to work this shift consistently each week will be prioritized. Work location is minutes away from Maverick station on the Blue line. Parking is also available. This is a great opportunity for extra income while giving back to the community!
Responsibilities

• Maintain your own consistent schedule
• Provide routine individualized care to the client
• Provide patient personal care and companionship
• Monitor and report changes in patient health status
• Perform light housekeeping including laundry and tidy patient's room
• Ability to document care provided
• This position allows for a full scope of interaction with the client in their home

Requirements

• Certification is not required, but must be able to provide verification of any certifications held
• At least 1 years of experience as a caregiver in a home care or skilled facility setting
• Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
• Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or photo ID

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Experience in hospice, home health, home care or other related fields is required
• Positive, caring and patient personality
• Ability to communicate and engage with client
• Ability to handle a light physical workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
