Hometown Health Center is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Schenectady, NY
PAY RANGE: $15.00- $22.50
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dental Assistant provides quality care to patients and quality assistance to the dentist, ensuring an excellent patient experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides outstanding customer service to the patient.
- Assists the dentist with all procedures and treatments.
- Prepares, sterilizes, and set ups trays and equipment as per OSHA requirements.
- Provides postoperative instruction to patients as directed by the dentist.
- Maintains a clean and sterile dental lab as outlined in the Dental Infection Control Manual.
- Instructs patients in proper dental hygiene.
- Pulls and files patient charts as necessary.
- Assists dentist in discussing and establishing financial arrangements and agreements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information per HIPAA standards.
- Maintains annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training as required by law.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dental Office Manager or Dental Director.
