We are looking for a candidate with a friendly and professional demeanor who can contribute to fostering a warm atmosphere for our patients and community members. The ideal candidate should be proficient in computer usage, excel in organizational tasks, possess excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone, and manage multiple tasks effortlessly. A positive personality will be a valuable asset in creating a pleasant environment for both our patients and team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming individuals with a courteous and professional attitude
  • Collecting and scanning all patient paperwork into our EMR
  • Collecting patient exam copayments and payments
  • Answering and returning patients calls and messages
  • Calling patients to inform them that materials are ready for pick up
  • Scheduling and rescheduling appointments
  • Faxing, copying, stocking and maintaining office supplies
  • Taking patient contact lens orders over the phone
  • Preparing statements or invoices for patients.
  • Triaging patient concerns and relaying the information accurately
  • Collecting referrals from local medical facilities and providers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma is required. Previous medical reception experience is preferred.
  • Basic clerical skills with comfort operating a computer and learning a new EMR
  • Strong organizational skills are essential

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
