Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients
- Collect and update patient information, medical history, and insurance details
- Assist with medical record management and ensure accuracy of documentation
- Process payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Provide general information about veterinary services, procedures, and pricing
Skills:
- Animal husbandry knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in medical collection procedures
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care practices
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the clinic
- Basic dog training skills for managing pet behavior during visits
- Knowledge of equine care is a plus
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices is an advantage
- Strong grasp of veterinary terminology
- Excellent animal handling skills
