Homestead Home Health Care Services is Hiring a Traveling LPN/RN Near Flint, MI

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Homestead is looking for a qualified nurse who will be traveling to Flint, Frankenmuth, Saginaw, and Fenton!

The salary range is between $55,000 - $65,000.

The nurse is a leader and role model to all staff on how to properly care for the residents during all aspects of their lives. You will be responsible for visiting our facilities and overseeing the general care of the residents to provide medical support, guidance, and assistance to our managers and staff. Also required will be the responsibility to help train and mentor care staff to build a strong team, and serve as a point of contact for families, addressing their concerns with empathy and professionalism while working collaboratively to find effective solutions. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential qualities for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing residents’ needs and assisting caregivers as needed regarding health, behavioral, and medication administration issues.
  • Primary contact with physicians, pharmacy, and family.
  • Set up medications as prescribed by physician.
  • medication audits. Order and stock medication carts.
  • Provide phone support regularly to supervisors, med techs and caregivers.
  • Implement our training program.
  • Conduct rounds to observe residents and to ensure nursing and restorative needs are being met. Maintain the resident records in a complete and current manner.
  • Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary.
  • Consult with physicians in planning resident care, treatment, rehabilitation and change of condition.
  • Assist on the floor as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current license to practice as an LPN/RN in Michigan.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance on vehicle.
  • Able to drive up to 75% of the time.
  • Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic charting desired.
  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Every other Weekend is required.
