Homestead Gardens is Hiring a Part-time Payroll Administrator Near Davidsonville, MD

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Payroll Administrator to join our team part-time, 2-3 days per week. As the Payroll Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while upholding compliance with regulatory standards.

What the Payroll Administrator Will Do:

  • Implement, maintain, and scrutinize payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure seamless handling of transactions.
  • Ensure precise and timely execution of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage laws.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to payroll software and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR on cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

What a Great Candidate Will Bring:

  • Profound understanding of payroll operations, including preparation, reconciliation, internal controls, and payroll tax regulations.
  • Competence in payroll software applications, specifically Paylocity.
  • Exceptional organizational acumen with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Google G-Suite or similar software suites.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. or a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience is required.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
