Homestead Agricultural Services is looking to add a team member to our growing agricultural fencing business. Experience in fence construction is a plus but not required. Some general carpentry skills would be preferred
Our Ideal candidate would be willing to take direction, work well with others, and have a strong work ethic.We are a very mechanised operation using post pounders, wire stretchers, and staple guns. We use the newest and most efficient tools and equipment on the market to install agricultural fence.
Job requirements would include but not be limited to as follows:
- Clear fence lines of obstructions and prepare for installing.
-Follow plans and set up fence layout.
- Assist operators/ run post pounders to install posts.
- Build braces and use mechanical wire stretchers to tension woven wire.
- Occasionally run skid steers to assist in fence installation and clearing.
-And any other tasks required to install a quality fence.
This job does require occasional travel as we service all of New England and NY. (majority of work is in Maine/ southeastern Ma) All travel expenses are covered while travelling including food, lodging, and transportation. When working out of town we are typically gone Mon-Fri and return home for weekends.
Lots of overtime available at time and a half! Paid weekly. Many jobs are paid prevailing wage $40-$75 per hour depending on location.
