We are currently looking for compassionate, composed and resourceful individuals to join our team. The program in need of support is a group home with 6 clients located in Hales Corners. Clients are both male and female with a variety of disabilities. Clients can be loud, resistant, and require skilled medical care. Candidates for this program must be able to be confident and stern to redirect resistant behavior, have patience and still be a positive influence. Given the challenging nature of the required medical cares and clients we will provide you with ample training over your first month.
Additional shift differentials are available for evenings and weekends. Differentials are $1.00 per hour from 2pm-10pm weekdays and $2.00 per hour for all weekend shifts between 10pm Friday and 10 pm Sunday. 
Responsibilities:
  • Assists in planning, directing and overseeing the learning, living and leisure time activities through direct interaction of clients.
  • Assures the health, safety, and well-being of client. 
  • Maintains positive relationships; provides support, encouragement and information to the client and their families/guardians. 
  • Performs all medical cares required for each client including; toileting, changing, bathing, assistance feeding, g-tube care, safe movement, medication administration, and more.
  • Maintains order and administers positive redirection as necessary and appropriate without the use of physical or mechanical restraint.
  • Maintains positive, effective professional communication with parents, case managers, court staff, coworkers and other members of the community and working professionals.
  • Assists in food preparation, storage and clean up.
  • Maintains required training/hours and certifications annually as assigned by HIL.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability and skill to maintain a positive and effective working relationship with the clients, employees, case managers, parents, human service workers, parent/guardians.
  • Ability and skill to provide safe, beneficial care and services to client. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple duties and responsibilities under changing circumstances.
  • Ability to complete all other duties as assigned by Direct Support Supervisor.
