    POSITIONS BEING POSTED:
    Two Assistant Football Positions (High School)
    • (MHSAA season officially begins early August and ends approximately end-November)
    • (UCCS looking for commitment to program including off-season conditioning)
    KEY ELEMENTS OF EACH POSITION:
    • Must work well with student-athletes at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in building vertical alignment within all levels of Football
    • Strong communication skills, organization efficiency, outstanding character, and leadership qualities a must
    • Assists Varsity Head Coach and JV Coach in managing all aspects of the Union City Football program: administrative tasks within the sport such as overseeing paperwork; issuing and inventorying uniforms and equipment; communicating consistently and professionally to stakeholders; participating in player and parent meetings; ensuring health and safety, organizing and conducting scouting, and other duties as delegated by the Varsity Head Coach and JV Coach
    • Must have flexibility to participate as a Coach or game worker (events) in practices and games of other levels within the program as required by the Varsity Head Coach and JV Coach
    • Must have a flexible schedule in order to provide for proper supervision of and instruction to student-athletes; including facilities, bus transportation to and from event venues, etc...
    • Maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, officials, opponents, and others associated with the program and sport
    • Promote student commitment to academics and multi-sport participation
    • Model, promote, and foster exemplary sportsmanship among team members, coaching staff, parents, student body, and spectators
    • Assist the Varsity Head Coach in program-related out-of-season activities (i.e., volunteer opportunities, fundraising, concessions, open gyms, conditioning, camps, clinics, recognitions, etc...)
    • Attend and participate in meetings scheduled by the Varsity Head Coach, JV Coach, Athletic Director and/or by any other Administrator
    • Be a visible leader within the Union City Football program by attending other school-related events outside of Football, assisting at Union City athletic events, as well as building community connections
    • Participate in professional growth opportunities including being an active and participatory member of the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA)
    • Successfully complete a background check prior to coaching if not currently a paid employee
    • Successfully complete, or provide proof of completion of, CPR/1st Aid/AED Training Certification
    • Successfully complete, or provide proof of completion of, an approved online Concussion Training course
    • Successfully complete, and provide proof of completion of, the MHSAA’s online Rules Meeting in addition to CAP1 and CAP2 programs
