How You’ll Help Fulfill the HSHM Mission

Leadership

  • Lead and motivate a cohesive administrative team that focuses on enabling the mission of Home Sweet Home Ministries
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned administrative staff
  • Continuously identify and evaluate support of administrative functions for the agency
  • Provide development and support to staff as warranted to help them reach individual and organizational goals
  • Serve as executive sponsor for diversity, equity, and inclusion work

Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Set short-term and long-term strategic direction for administrative functions including workforce and facilities strategies
  • Monitor and report on progress towards achievement of strategic goals
  • Provide executive level reports for administrative function
  • Provide miscellaneous CEO and board support for administrative function
  • Establish goals and objectives for the administrative department and participate in development of departmental budget
  • Lead team in establishing and maintaining sub-goals and a clear scope of work
  • Continuously review budget priorities and status with team
  • Develop and implement measures that enhance the quality of administrative support for the organization
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, maintain knowledge of compliance trends and update processes/policies as needed

Communication

  • Assume primary responsibility for official agency communications with employees and volunteers
  • Serve as primary consultant for leadership on strategic workplace issues (culture, performance management, etc.)


Qualifications

  • Mission-oriented with values in harmony with those of Home Sweet Home Ministries, Inc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business management or related field preferred, or five years of relevant human resources experience
  • PHR, SPHR or comparable certification preferred
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and lead a diverse yet cohesive team
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications, database management, and the maintenance of records
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize efficiently, establish priorities, and attend to details
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other departments and agencies
  • Actively involved in the Christian faith
