Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Apprentices to work on second shift. The candidate should be passionate about pursuing a career in equipment maintenance in a food manufacturing.

Shift Details: 2nd shift (3pm-12am) Tuesday-Friday and Saturdays from 9:00am-3pm. Hours are subject to change based on department needs.

• The Maintenance Apprentice will perform a variety of tasks to inspect, install, repair, and maintain all manufacturing equipment and the buildings per the guidance and instruction of the Maintenance Lead and/or Maintenance Manager, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• The individual will work on mechanical, air, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical equipment, as well as building or modifying equipment. This will be accomplished by operating various hand tools, power hand tools.
• The apprentice will train to install, modify, diagnose, repair, and manage electronic, industrial.
• All health and safety rules and procedures will be taught to the trainee, and he or she will follow them.
• Ability to identify and avoid problems, perform planned, proactive, and routine maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude required in addition to at least 1 year of related experience working with Hydraulics, Pneumatic, conveyors, or some type of production equipment. 
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, twist and stoop.
• Ability to use various maintenance tools 
• Basic computer skills. 
• Ability to work all shifts as needed and be on-call for emergencies.
• Ability to work in a production environment. This job has exposure to ambient/refrigerator/freezer
• Some knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches.
• An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems
• Able to provide your own tools
