Home of the Innocents is Hiring a Manager of Respiratory Therapy Near Louisville, KY

Position: Respiratory Therapist Manager A Day in the Life: You will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, directing and supervising the day-to-day functions of the Respiratory Therapy Department. Additionally, The Respiratory Therapist Manager will conduct and coordinate the KCPCC Laboratory, as well as the delivery of Respiratory Care and assessment in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility. Respiratory Therapist Manager Duties:
Oversee the daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department to include staff interviews, employment decision, orientation, performance evaluations, employee training and development, as well as inventory, equipment, and instrument issues
Monitor expenditures within budgetary guidelines, analyze variances and make appropriate adjustments and demonstrate cost containment with all resources
Implement the Home of the Innocents standards of care, policies and procedures as well as KCPCC workbook instructions
Analyze problems or procedures, evaluate alternatives and select best course of action; use of logic and commonly accepted practices in decision making to ensure timely effective solutions.
Maintains legal, regulatory, and accreditation compliance by concerning federal, state, and local regulations
Function as Moderate Complexity Lab Manager, and oversee all laboratory testing within the KCPCC
Coordinating and actively participating in Pulmonary Rounds
Respiratory Therapist Manager Skills and Qualifications:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license/certification as a Respiratory Therapist in Kentucky
Registered Credential (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care or other related facility preferred
Five (5) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other health care related facility preferred.
