Home of New Vision is a substance use disorder treatment and recovery services provider with locations in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Jackson, Michigan. We are seeking Recovery Coaches with lived experiance to be part of a program providing community outreach and harm reduction, peer coaching, recovery events and other activites to promote recovery and end stigma and shame. Depending on the position, you will be doing a mix of the following:

Job responsibilities include:

• Provide harm reduction activities.
• Conduct community outreach to assist individuals seeking support for their SUD.
• Conduct community education in relation to stigma reduction and overdose education and safe practices.
• Help plan and execute recovery events, workshops and outreach pop ups.
• Work 1:1 with individuals in early recovery.
• Work with both internal and external stake holders to promote recovery and educate on harm reduction.

• Self-starter; motivated
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
• Be reliable
• Must have a good grasp of grammar/punctuation/spelling and the writing skills required to create and manage social media content that is engaging, impactful and original
• Be willing to occasionally work weekend or evenings to attend/work putreach events
• Be comfortable participating in harm reduction activities.
• Have lived recovery: 2 years (Required)
