Job Title:

Delivery Drivers (Straight Truck)

Organizational Relationship:

Reports to the Shipping Manager, in his absence reports to the Shipping Clerk.

Major Goals and Responsibilities:

Deliver Home Nursery’s plant material in a timely and professional manner.

Retrieve CC racks when not delivering.

Prerequisites:

• CDL Drivers License Class B with Air brake endorsement
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
• Must be 21 to cross state lines
• All CDL Drivers in the US must register with FMCSA as of Jan 6, 2020
• Unload and load rolling racks truck with liftgate.

Specific Responsibilities:

• The driver will be delivering nursery material on rolling racks.
• The driver is responsible for retrieving racks when not delivering.
• Preform Pre and post-trip inspections
• Participate as a conscientious team member of Home Nursery, Inc
• Communicate with customers in a courteous manner.
• Assist in unloading truck at delivery location.
• Ensure plants are unloaded properly at each delivery location.
• Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report all safety hazards to Shipping Manager
• Treat all tools and equipment with care.
• Check gas, oil, tires daily.
• Report truck servicing needs to Shipping manager
• Responsible for a clean appearance of delivery truck; both inside and outside
• Complete driver’s e-log daily
• Complete and maintain mileage log daily.
• Ensure proper completion of delivery sets.
• Assist in other departments as requested by the Shipping Manager
• Follow all company policies and rules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
