**Please note this opening is a 3rd Shift role and the hours are as follows:

• 9:00PM – 6:00AM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• 12:00AM – 5:00AM on Wednesday or Sunday if participating in pre-operational inspection
• 9:00PM – 6:00AM on occasional Saturdays – a maximum of twice a month

Primary Assignments:

• Monitor HACCP requirements, quality control of products, plant conditions, and warehouse storage, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Conduct pre-operational and operational facility inspections, maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance staff, ensuring product safety and quality through regular communication.
• Assist in training employees on GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence.
• Perform sensory evaluations of products and troubleshoot food safety and quality issues, overseeing corrective actions and documentation.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or related field required; 2-3 years' experience in quality assurance preferred.
• Knowledge of the food industry required, with preference for experience in the meat industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in software programs like Microsoft Word and Excel is a must.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as required.
• Strong organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
