JOB DESCRIPTION – Caregiver

***Actively Seeking: Long Days 8am-8pm, Overnights 8pm-8am, and some Short Shifts (4 hours) mornings and afternoonsHome Instead® is an international leader in the senior care industry. We provide affordable non-medical solutions for individuals seeking help with everyday tasks that allow them to live independently wherever they call home. Clients receive one-on-one services performed by Care Professionals® (caregivers) who are screened, trained, bonded and insured.Primary Responsibilities:

• Personal Care (including hygiene assistance)

• Remain Awake to care for Client (overnights)

• Alzheimer's and Dementia Support

• Meal Preparation

• Medication Reminders

• Laundry

• Light Housekeeping

• Shopping and Errands

• Ambulation Assistance

• Respite Care

Job Requirements:Reliability, excellent communication skills and compassion are a must.

• Ability to commute to the South Bay or Marina del Rey areas

• Previous experience preferred but not required

• Complete all required training 

• Access to a vehicle you can drive while on assignment (valid CA Driver's License with proof of insurance)

• Register as a CA Home Care Aide (including criminal background clearance and TB test)

• Pass drug tests

• Ability to speak and write in English

• A heart for caregiving, treating older adults with dignity and respect
