Home Instead - Beaverton is Hiring a Community Based Caregiver Near Beaverton, OR

About us

Home Instead is an In Home Care Agency that provides Caregivers to clients in the clients homes. We believe in the importance of enhancing the lives of the aging and their families. We do this through building trust, taking the lead, and sharing our hearts. We are looking for Caregivers who want to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.

Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a community setting

-Ability to do assessments and communicate them with home office as well as families

- Needs to be able to meet with community staff members as well as home office when asked
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with Autism or other developmental disabilities
- Follow established protocols and procedures for resident rights and confidentiality

Qualifications:

-2-4 Years of caregiving experience

-A clear understanding of full scope of caregiving

-Understand and articulate the differences in, Advanced dementia care, hospice care and med administration
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to transport individuals to appointments or activities
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
- Must understand English.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.25 per hour
