Home Helpers of Dallas (serving Dallas and Collin Counties) provides non-medical care to individuals in their own homes or communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, post-surgery recovery, dementia, disability and/or other inflictions. Our office is located in North Dallas at 17000 Dallas Pkwy, Suite 110, Dallas 75248

CARE COORDINATOR/STAFFING SCHEDULER: to coordinate and oversee the care we provide for our clients.

As a Home Helpers Care Coordinator/Staffing Scheduler, we will depend on you to be the link between our caregivers and clients. This salary position will require a highly organized, patient and compassionate person to quickly learn and understand the various nuances of both clients and caregivers and excel as a “matchmaker” dedicated to doing what is necessary to ensure the client’s needs are met. Responsibilities included in this role surround assessing clients’ needs for care, matchmaking/scheduling the appropriate caregiver(s) to each client’s case, obtaining employee availability for open shifts, monitoring and managing clients’ care (including periodic visits to connect and oversee client’s well-being and satisfaction level), interviewing/training new caregivers and performance evaluations. The ideal match for this position is highly organized in their office administrative skills, loves establishing rapport, setting goals and exceeding expectations, is able to counsel other employees as needed, has flexibility to address needs outside of” the usual business hours”, and has caregiving knowledge, skills and experience that they would enjoy providing a client, should the need arise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to look at and contribute ideas to process improvement.

• Ability to work full time and with flexibility.

• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook, with a general understanding of Microsoft Excel (proficiency in Excel a plus!)

• Ability and personality type to comfortably work (with patience and professionalism) in a fast-paced environment, at times.

• Knowledge of general healthcare scheduling requirements and terminology

PREFERENCES:

• One year or more in scheduling position, highly preferred

• Caregiving experience preferred.

• Managing experience and skillset preferred.

• Experience working with Well Sky Software preferred.

• Nursing and/or social work background - very much a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage schedules and caregivers in a way that delivers ‘excellence in care’ to our clients and maintaining their trust by exceeding their expectations.

• Selects, schedules, and coordinates “well matched” caregivers based on client’s assessment and care plan for both new and existing clients that accomplishes continuity of excellent and reliable care for clients.

• Maintains all scheduling/availability of caregivers, responds swiftly to situations of scheduling conflicts, emergencies and/or "call offs" arise, and accurately/expeditiously maintains up to date schedules in the Well-Sky system.

• Primary custodian of all system schedules--ensures overall schedule accuracy by periodic checks.

• Manages Caregivers by teaching and holding all accountable to their own job responsibilities. Counsel, coach, cheer on and terminates employees as needed.

• Responds promptly to any client complaints, documents complaints, and reviews complaints with the CEO or Office Manager

• Documents regularly according to company policies and Texas State Law Compliance.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. (some flexibility surrounding start/end time is required) and responsible for shifts “On-Call” after-hour calls (after business hours on Monday - Friday, as well as Saturday, and Sunday with additional “on-call” compensation. On call is rotated amongst client care team members.
