We are seeking a compassionate, courteous, and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team as a full-time, part-time, or PRN contract employee. As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the patient’s medical needs, ensuring patient comfort and well-being while adhering to a standard of quality care.
Responsibilities:
· Care for quadriplegic patients
· Must be all specialized care for a quadriplegic including:
o trach care, suctioning secretions from inside and around trach
o tube feeding
o digital bowl program
o cleaning, assembling, and disinfecting respiratory equipment
o Hoyer lift transferring
o administering medication
· Provide basic direct patient care and treatment in an in-home, private duty setting
· Collaborate with nurses to administer prescribed medications
· Perform physical examination and monitor vital signs consistently throughout shift
· Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
· Ability to adhere to patient care plans as directed
· Ability to communicate effectively whether verbally or written in a timely manner
· Ability to travel locally with patient for medical appointments and recreational activities
· Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
· Adhere to infection control protocols
Experience and Qualifications:
· Must have and provide a valid CNA license for the state of Georgia
· Must provide an accurate and current resume with professional references
· Must have a minimum of THREE (3) years paid, verifiable CONTINUOUS experience
· Must have some basic knowledge of medical terminology
· Familiarity with physiology and anatomy
· Familiarity with respiratory-dependent client a plus
· Previous experience in a healthcare setting such in-home, nursing home, or a long-term care facility setting is a plus
· Ability to build rapport with client and team members
· Ability to provide compassionate care consistently with a holistic approach
· Willingness to learn and maintain care routine as prescribed
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· CPR Certification is a plus
