Hospice On Call Nurse Responsibilities:

Emergency Response: Provide timely and skilled nursing interventions to manage symptoms, pain, and distress for hospice patients during off-hours.

Telephonic Support: Offer empathetic and knowledgeable guidance to patients, families, and caregivers over the phone, ensuring immediate assistance.

Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communicate vital information to daytime staff.

Emotional Comfort: Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families facing urgent end-of-life situations.

Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as needed, maintaining strict adherence to hospice protocols.

Documentation: Accurately record patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.

Hospice On Call Nurse Qualifications:

RN Licensure: Active registered nurse license, demonstrating clinical competence and adherence to nursing standards.

Hospice Expertise: Deep understanding of hospice principles and practices, with a genuine commitment to patient comfort and dignity.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
