Home Base Sales (HBS) is seeking a General or Sales Manager with deep knowledge of the manufactured and modular homes (MH) selling and financing side of the business to advise home buyers at a new independent MH dealership opening a sales center during the summer 2024 in Onslow county.
Home Base Sales is being launched by a regional private real estate investment firm. Thus, the opportunity offers qualified candidates the best of both worlds leveraging your existing MH experience to influence, operate and grow a new dealership brand from day 1 while supporting, learning and participating in the investment side of acquiring and owning MHP's.
Our vertically integrated business model offers customers / home buyers unique and affordable housing options and pricing. The Manager would benefit from a stable flow of referrals and homes for rent or sale in our MHP investment / community division plus commissions and upside on the retail dealer side of the business.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience as a Sales Manager or General Manager and a proven track record of selling individually and/or leading sales office/team. The ideal candidate will be driven to create success at location #1 from ground up (hiring, staging, coordinating, managing schedules, supporting sales, etc) and motivated and incentivized to support and ideally lead the expansion of additional dealerships in the broader eastern NC region and neighboring states and ideally taking on a Regional Manager and corporate leadership position with profit sharing and executive level responsibility for the right candidate.
Obviously we are seeking a people person that is customer service oriented as well as able to articulate the differences and determine the most suitable types of mobile homes and features for a prospective buyer’s needs. The ideal candidate should be a good communicator, listener, and advisor yet politely persistent. However the person needs to be able to manage people and operate independently. We are seeking someone that wants to become part of ownership and not just work for a paycheck.
