Home and Community Options is seeking upbeat, motivated, and reliable individuals like you to join their team! As a Direct Support Professional for HCO, you will help children and adults with developmental disabilities in our community to live their best life!
A direct support professional (DSP) is someone who assists people with disabilities of all ages in leading self-directed lives. No two DSP roles are the same: their work is tailored to the specific needs of the individual that they are supporting. They teach skills of daily living, provide health or medical support, assist with daily tasks and personal care needs, provide social or emotional support, and much more. DSPs encourage learning and growth to enhance independence and community inclusion. They advocate for the wants, needs, and life goals of the people they are supporting. By providing care that values each person’s interests and preferences, DSPs empower those they support to lead the lives they want to live at home, work, school, and in the community. Qualified applicants must:
- be able to pass a criminal background check
- have an acceptable driving record (if driving is required for the position)
Pay Type: Hourly
Wage: $17.25/hr
(starting wage – day shifts)
