Surgical and procedural services are an increasingly important service line within the Valley Health Systems and a clear strategic priority for growth.
Successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to clinical service excellence and have a strong record of collaborative leadership and commitment to high quality clinical care and community engagement.
The successful candidate will have an established reputation in their surgical specialty and demonstrated experience in leading implementation of a vision through innovation and accountability.
In addition, they will have an MD or equivalent degree, and possess a demonstrated commitment to innovation, and have the leadership skills necessary for guiding faculty development and advancement of Valley Health Systems as a leader in high quality and cost effective surgical care.
Successful candidates will work with hospital leadership to produce an energetic and inventive vision for growing clinical volume, improving clinical productivity and further reorganizing clinical expertise of unique surgical services. The surgical medical director will also work to facilitate collaborative work between departments to grow and improve existing spheres of clinical care and develop new ones.

Qualification & Job Requisites:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine; completion of a residency program in surgery at a U. S. Hospital
Licenses/Registrations: Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current DEA license and
Massachusetts DPH controlled substance registration; Board certified Surgery
Experience: Five years experience in delivery of patient care in surgery; leader in high quality and cost effective surgical care. Location: Valley Health Systems · Operating Room
