Holy Word Christian Academy serves the greater Austin community with Christian education, from infancy through Pre-Kindergarten.

Spiritual: Our focus is to share God and the truth of Jesus' love for us everyday with the little ones in our care. As Christians, we rely on grace. Show grace to the children, show the children how to show grace to others, and show grace to your fellow staff members. This is reflected in our speech and in our actions toward every person, child, and staff member alike, that we encounter during each day at our center. 

Safe: Look around you at all times and know your surroundings! If you see something that could be a hazard, remove it. If you see something broken, throw it away. Always be watching and proactively keeping our littles ones safe.

Sanitary: Keep our rooms clean. At the end of the day, all toys should be in there alloted spots, toys should be sanitized, and cubbies should be cleaned weekly! Children should be clean during the day, and cleaner than when they came in by the end of the day.

Supportive: We are a team. We all have quirks and we are all sinful. However, we can leave all of that at the cross and enjoy the best in each other. Remember that we all have the same goal of showing love and teaching little ones, and we all want to work in an environment that is healthy and fun.

We are looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our team and help support our teachers in providing quality education to our students. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping children reach their full potential. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in classroom activities, providing support with student behavior management, and helping to create a positive learning environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children.
• Assist children with activities of daily life (ex. diaper/restroom, eating, dressing, etc.)
• Assist with completion of daily reports and photo attachments.
• Assist Lead Teacher with implementing curriculum and planning activities.
• Communicate with the Lead Teacher regarding all aspects of children's care and classroom management.
• Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Assist in the implementation of school policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional image and project the beliefs and values of Holy Word at all times.
