This includes overseeing and facilitating performance improvement, risk management, quality of care, customer satisfaction and cost-effective service delivery. Responsibilities also include planning, communicating, coordinating, collaborating, directing, assessing, and educating staff and others as needed to achieve high performance standards for the assigned Unit(s). As a professional nurse, assists with overall organization-wide or nursing department-wide initiatives to further improve the organization at large. Functions as charge nurse while on duty on Unit. Provides direct patient care when Unit's patient needs exceed staff ability.
