Holy Redeemer Health System is Hiring a Quality Improvement Specialist Near Meadowbrook, PA

SUMMARY OF JOB:

  • Responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data, analyzing data for patterns and trends in care delivery
  • Have ability to discover the root causes of specific patient care trends
  • Educate staff to promote quality care and minimize patient harm and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Work with Organizational and Quality/Safety leadership and staff to create policies and procedures that ensure quality care and perform follow-up evaluations of data and organizational performance to ensure compliance and consistent, continuous improvement
  • Facilitates and supports improvement projects/actions to meet or exceed threshold or compliance when opportunities are identified

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse with current PA license required
  • BSN required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in acute healthcare setting
  • Three years of prior experience in quality improvement, process improvement, TQM or participation in hospital quality committee preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of quality/performance improvement principles
  • Experience with facilitating quality and safety assessment and improvement activities preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and other PC applications, including Excel
  • Proficient in data base management, statistical analysis and report generation
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective working relationships with employees, physicians, Departmental Directors, Administrators and general public
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
