This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position
Work schedule includes (Every Other Weekend! EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY)

HFSL provides short term rehabilitation, dialysis, and long-term skilled nursing care by an interdisciplinary team of professionals. HFSL is a 5-star, multi-faceted nursing center and a “Preferred Provider” of the St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network.

As the Nurse Leader of the unit, this position provides oversight and direction for the RN Medical/Surgical (short-term rehab) Unit at HFSL. This key leadership position is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the unit and leads by example to ensure that all patients receive high quality, compassionate, and timely care.

Primary job duties include:

• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization through leadership and standards of care.
• Oversee the daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training, and development of employees within the med/surge unit.
• Organize services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach throughout the continuum of patient care.
• Complete daily clinical rounds, emphasis on high-risk residents.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Med/Surge, LTC/STR or hospital experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nursing supervisor position with the ability to lead and mentor staff in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities as cited above.
