Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 1st shift Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Shop Service Technician position available at our Laredo, Texas location which is located at 101 South Aviators Laredo, TX 78043.

The hours of the position are Monday-Friday 7 am to 4 pm.This position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy equipment and / or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines.

The incumbent can work independently or as a team member to provide mechanical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals.

• Essential Functions : Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failuresDisassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized toolingRebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and componentsDemonstrates good customer relations and support;
• communicates customer needs to shop managementPlans and controls cost of repair jobsCompletes parts orders and identifies parts for returnMentors and helps train other techniciansMaintains all equipment and work areas - keeps in good, clean, and orderly conditionWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies;
