HOLLYWOOD IRON WORKS, INC., HOLLYWOOD, FL.

Structural steel fabricator located in Hollywood, Florida is looking for seasoned and proficient Structural Steel fitters and Fabricators. To be considered, you must be clearly proficient in reading and interpreting shop drawings and able to layout and fit structural steel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years minimum experience as a fitter/fabricator.
• Must be able to fully read and interpret structural fabrication drawings.
• Must be able to follow directions and work well with others.
• Must have an excellent work ethic and take pride in their work,
• Ability to use cranes and rigging materials for lifting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require frequent bending at the waist, squatting, climbing, stooping, kneeling and reaching about the head.
• Ability to push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects.
• Being a certified welder is a plus but not necessary for this position.
• Proficiency with an oxy/acetylene torch is necessary.
• Experience in running machinery such as Drill Lines, Plasma Equipment & Band Saws is a plus!
• Must be drug free, have a drivers license, & transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Layout and assembly of structural steel members such as, columns, beams, roof opening frames and wind frames.
• Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Observe and follow all company safety rules and regulations.
