What We Are Looking For

This position is ideally for an experienced veterinary assistant. If you are an RVT, please see our open ad for Veterinary Technicians.
We are searching for part-time or full-time candidates. Full time is 5 days/week, starting at 8:45am and going to 5pm. Willingness to work Saturdays is a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing for us is to find someone who gets along well with others and is comfortable working in a large team setting.

What you'd be doing

• *Maintenance of patients which includes feeding, laundering bedding, and cleaning cages and runs.
• *Communicating with clients to obtain patient history and discuss doctor recommendations.
• *Basic patient care and treatment
• *Animal restraint
• *Obtaining blood samples and performing in-house lab tests at the doctor’s request.
• *Monitoring the behavior of animals and reporting any changes.
• *Assisting in a multitude of tasks involving patient care and facility maintenance.
• *Doctor and veterinary technician assistance as needed
• *Cleaning and stocking exam rooms.
• *Surgery patient preparation and scrubbing in with the doctor to perform as sterile assistant in surgery.
• *Performing dental cleanings on patients while a licensed veterinary technician monitors anesthesia.
• *Storing and retrieving bags of food for customers.
• *Emptying the trash, mopping floors, and other cleaning duties
• *Surgical suite cleaning, instrument cleaning/sterilization/maintenance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
