It can be a great avenue for individuals who aspire to be a Site/Department Manager or Senior Leader but lack warehousing or managerial experience. Whichever your situation, candidates must be open to a sharp learning curve, 2-month out-of-state work assignments and going outside their current skill and comfort levels.This 2-year, hands-on job experience offers the opportunity for each participant to become part of a team, and gain broad knowledge of our company, culture, and the logistics industry. Year one will be spent rotating between various sites/departments, and year two will be a focused job assignment.During the leadership Development Program, you’ll get to know the nuts and bolts of our company’s operation and in the second year you’ll support our management team with daily tasks involved in leading people, achieving KPI’s and managing issues. You’ll identify and lead improvement projects and receive specialized training to build your warehousing and leadership competencies. You’ll have direct access to learn from employees at all levels of the company and are encouraged to ask questions and share your ideas.Program Overview:The program includes rotations within at least four Hollingsworth business divisions and departments across multiple work locations. Development topics include:Inventory and production controlPackaging and kittingEcommerceLight assemblyRetail, automotive and aerospaceSAPPeople and team/department leadershipPerformance trackingSite/business launchesStrategic planningRisk assessmentSupport functions (purchasing, customer service, accounting, HR, quality)In addition to the Program Coach, each participant will be assigned a mentor to support their learning and success. Each rotation has clear learning objectives and checks to drive a positive experience for all. Rotation schedule or assignments may change based on participant and/or business needs. Duties and Responsibilities:Work in all levels of our warehousing operations – including but not limited to picker/order filler, shipping and receiving, quality and safety.Assist with policy and procedure development and implementationHelp lead day to day plant operationsTrack and report on KPIsIdentify and lead continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, accuracy, safety and engagementRecruit and interview new team members, and assist in employee feedback/developmentDevelop and deliver employee trainingBuild organizational and communication skills by leading meetings, creating and delivering training and proposals, managing projects, and presenting findings.Complete a final capstone projectRequirements:Passion for learning and improvementWilling to do manual laborEnjoys problem solving and working with peopleInterested in the big picture and working in the detailsProficient in MS OfficeEffective written and verbal communication skillsMature and highly responsibleFlexible and resilientSome leadership experience in work, team, club, etc. Degree in business, supply chain, engineering OR 3 years of experience in leadership roleAble to live in a temporary out-of-state location for ~2, 2-month rotationsInterested in long-term employment with Hollingsworth
